The Second Realm of the sustainable Community Development perspective helps us to understand the cumulative human footprint, or the resources required to fulfill our basic needs, such as for water, food, shelter, transport, to handle waste, and so on. This realm is where we assess these needs and how to fulfill them in ways that are more appropriate and healthy for our human social spheres and for the natural environment.
